Unable to access Baltix websites #1

Hi. As there is no meta-repository for general-purpose issues with Baltix, then I decided to post a bug/message here.

The problem is, that I've been unable to visit either baltix.lt or baltix.akl.lt (both with http or https protocols). I'm from Estonia.

The most recent snapshot of baltix.akl.lt on the Internet Archive is from 23 June 2018; the most recent snapshot of baltix.lt is from 9 August 2018.

Since those domains are inaccessible, then I didn't think it possible, that you might receive an e-mail sent to an address with one of the above-mentioned domains.

Thank you very much for information about Baltix website. Currently baltix.lt and baltix.lv domains are hosted on akl.lt (public organization "Open Source for Lithuania") server and that server was accidentally turned off 2 months ago by hosting technicians from Vilnius university :( There are lots of servers in that place and it was pretty hard to find our server for technicians :) But today I got promise, that server will be turned on this week :)

Issues with Baltix GNU/Linux distribution should be reported on Baltix development portal: https://launchpad.net/baltix/+bugs Issues with Baltix web site and other questions should be asked in "Answers" section: https://answers.launchpad.net/baltix

Btw, do you use Baltix GNU/Linux or know any Baltix users from Estonia? You can join to Baltix development team - currently Baltix web page is very old and outdated, maybe you wanna help?

Thanks for your prompt reply.

Issues with Baltix GNU/Linux distribution should be reported on Baltix development portal: Well, yes, I wasn't ready to sign on to anything new.

Btw, do you use Baltix GNU/Linux or know any Baltix users from Estonia? None that I know of. I do not interact with the rest of the Linux community either, so I wouldn't know.

There are some users of Estobuntu, but development of Estobuntu has stalled since version 14.04.

My English is rather good, and Estonian is my native language. I might join, but I wouldn't know what to do at this point.

Since the most recent Knoppix Live CD is really outdated, and very unstable with Synaptics touchpads, I have a very specific wishlist for a contemporary live CD based on Debian, Devuan, or Ubuntu. Where's the best place to post that?

Here's what I can do with regard to web tools, and the extent of my knowledge wrt web and programming languages:

I've been familiar with Knoppix since version 3.6, and I have on and off used the various versions of Knoppix for Windows repair, or in place of Windows, when it would no longer work, or would not fulfill my needs because of its age.

The only time I've used a hard disk-based Linux for any length of time, was between 2004–2006 with Debian 3.0 Woody.

Hi again. akl.lt is still not accessible.

On the other hand, I've found BunsenLabs, which is the most suitable and modern Debian-derived CD-based distribution with X and Firefox. It has SystemD, and I've discovered, that SystemD has some functions not found in those PC-based distros that do not have SystemD — such as limiting the useable memory a particular application can use, such as Firefox, which is especially useful in a live environment.
