John, does this mean that you need us to be running on Java 8 from now on?

No it does not. I installed Java 8 for the ESnet deployment and an into issues. Just happened to be a namespace issue in the test XML files that was not picked up under Java 7. It still runs in Java 7 since I am not brave enough to upgrade my design machine ;-)
