The exe I was talking about is that generated by the pygame2exe_Chess.py module.
The generation process has the right flavour but the generated exe fails.

Pychess has no win32 support yet. Some work on it was started before (see issue
223),
but it's far from complete.

This is puzzling. I use Windows XP and, except for castling, the game goes
well.
Does your comment refer specifically to generating and exe?

Hmm, last time i checked pychess was not running on win32. Maybe this changed
with
later commits. How did you installed pychess on XP?
Btw., where can i find this pygame2exe_Chess.py module?
