Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. attempting to set up sip/voip calling with NexusOne
2. set up SipGate acct, have IPKall acct, SipSorcery acct
3. don't have an entry in the 'bindings'

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.
Trying to set this service up. instructions indicate to 'make sure an entry
appears in the sipbinding section on sipsorcery. I have '0 bindings'

Hi, and thanks for opening a ticket.

You won't get bindings until you successfully attach your Nexus One to your SIP
Sorcery account. You never listed a SIP client for your phone in the list of
software. You may wish to try Fring or Sipdroid. You also only need a sipgate
account OR an IPKall account, not both unless you're looking to experiment with
other VoIP projects and tools.

And finally, using sipgate with SIP Sorcery is not preferred as it places undue
strain on the system, preventing the sysadmin from allowing more people to sign
up. It is much more preferable to configure IPKall to "push" your calls to your
SIP Sorcery account.

Hmmm, I thought I had replied here and have been awaiting a response. Guess I
didn't... In any event: My SIP client is SipDroid on my Nexus One. I have
eliminated my sipgate account as well as my PBX.org accounts so now have just
the IPKall account. I really need some assistance (step by step) in how I
integrate these (N1, IPKall, Sipsorcercy) so that I may use my N1 to place wifi
calls. I do appreciate your time and help, thank you very much.

Paul

Sorry for the delay, Paul. Please read the wiki page 10 for all the details on
how to combine your IPKall account with your SIP Sorcery account to enable free
wifi calling.
