When respeccing a merc it will set you to lvl zero afterwards, sometimes removing the character fully from your setup.

When respecing a merc it will set you to lvl zero afterwards, sometimes removing the character fully from your setup.

Can confirm that respecing mercenaries does break them, but mercs can be fully respeced at Hilor. You can use ToyBox to set the mercenary recruit and respec cost to 0. Mod seems to be working as-intended for non-merc companions.
