After respec, game seems to treat companions as main characters #99

First off, thanks for this amazing mod. I've been using it a lot and it boggles the mind that it's not already part of the vanilla game's functionality.

Unfortunately, with the most recent patches it seems to be broken. I've now twice encountered a strange issue where, when respeccing, the game treats companions as if they were the main character, first with Regill, now with Arue. Specifically, during the respec, it'll show me the option to create a character from scratch rather than on the base of the companion's stats (with full companion respec unchecked, mind). I'm also able to choose mythic paths for my companions. If I go through with the respec this then leads to the companion being the player character in dialogue and being mandatory for the party -- e.g. I'd return to camp and run around it as Regill rather than my actual PC. I was also unable to level up Regill. I eventually had to dismiss him from my party as the problem persisted after uninstalling this mod and reloading a save from before respeccing Regill. I was also unable to select anyone but Regill for respec.

The problem occurred both with and without Gestalt levelling options selected in Toybox. My other mods are:

I also am getting this bug. I did the quest to recruit Regill and found that the enemies for his encounter were all spawning in with 1 hit point. When I got done with the quest, I tried to level up Regill and he: became level 0, the player character, and I couldn't level him, the screen was blank. I happened to have another character I hadn't leveled up yet and was able to level them without the game turning them in to the player character or becoming level 0. I could also level them up.

I do not run any other mods and had used this mod had successfully worked before when getting new characters, leveling them up, and re-leveling them. It might be an interaction with the current patch of the game of this post, 1.0.6d. I had last played the game in version 1.0.4d.

I back loaded to a save before the encounter, turned off the mod, and found the encounter was acting as intended the enemies didn't have 1 hp anymore and Regill didn't become a player character. Since this was easy enough of a fix for me to do, I will likely just keep the mod off until I feel the need to change someone or myself again.

Update: managed to fix this for Arueshalae. Apparently, she (and Regill) had their main classes set to Gestalt, possibly from my previous playthrough (?). Unchecking that and letting Arue have at least one non-Gestalt class fixed it for me.
