Firmware modification not saving (v2.2): modified firmware exactly the same (size) as original #23

To illustrate the problem, I've removed mostly everything except 3 effects from original G3Xn firmware and saved it. The saved file is exactly the same as original file, i.e. no change is applied. Please see the pic below.

What could cause this?

EDIT: I think this has to do with fact that I'm trying it on firmware version 2.2. It seems there's an issue with it, see the link: https://github.com/Barsik-Barbosik/Zoom-Firmware-Editor/issues/7

I think the file will remain the same size just like my experience. I recommend you use another name (to make another file) as it may not overwrite the existing file being opened by the tool itself. Then open the newly created file to validate if the changes you intended were saved.
