Fn+Q is part of the firmware. LLT or Vantage isn't even needed for that.

Fn is part of firmware and as far as I know, using Fn+Q on your external keyboard for changing performance mode is not possible. My suggestion would be simply change it with options on tray menu, or learn how to make a keyboard shortcut which sends a msg to LLT through CLI to change the performance mode. This is annoying, I know, but unfortunately we don't have so much to do.
