Please fill out the issue template properly and attach logs.
how can i send logs?
"You might consider running with --trace parameter and attaching the log files. See README for details."
I read all this, but I still don’t understand how an application with --trace
First of all check the folder mentioned in readme, if it was a crash, then there should be an error report there. Fill out ticket details, attach screenshots, anything that can help me fix this issue.
--trace
is a parameter, you can add parameters if you go to shortcut properties for example. You can see the example here: https://www.digitalcitizen.life/shortcut-arguments-parameters-windows/
Posting that there is an error, is not helpful. I don't have this issue, so you need to provide as much info as possible, otherwise I won't be able to fix it.
OS: [e.g. Windows 11 22H2 build 22622.586] Laptop model: [e.g. Legion 5 15IMH05H] Do you have Vantage installed? [Yes] Do you have Vantage disabled with LLT? [No] Do you have FN Keys service installed? [Yes] Do you have FN Keys service disabled with LLT? [No] Log file Error: https://fex.net/ru/s/ooczx8d
Thanks, I'll take a look :)
Thank you for your work) I also noticed something else, I'm not sure, but maybe it's due to a disable in the Intel VT BIOS. Without it, I have a much better situation with the CPU voltage and, in general, the temperature is better with a difference of about 10-15 degrees.
Well, it might be the case, it's not related to LLT though.
Just before this, disabling lenovo vantage worked fine
It doesn't seem to be related, but the error looks weird. Can you open Task Scheduler and on the left can you find Lenovo
folder in show what subfolders are there?
ScreenShot: https://fex.net/ru/s/9kdp7fk
What do you have in TimeBasedEvents folder and in Plugins subfolder?
PS: you can also paste images directly in comments here.
OK, thanks I will take a look over the weekend. I might need some more help, but will ping you here if needed.
ok, thanks, I'll still check how it will work with Intel VT in bios enabled
I checked, it's not due to Intel VT. It's strange that disabling vontage worked a couple of days ago, what happened wrong ...
Can you try this build and let me know the results?
now there is no error, but lenovo processes remain active
Ok, that's what I expected sort of. Can you attach logs from this version?
strange as it is, after disabling the services, it kills them from the processes, but then after closing the LLT application to the tray, and re-opening LLT, the services setting is disabled again and the lenovo services are running
Can you check if you have a file called LenovoSystemUpdatePlugin_WeeklyTask
in C:\Windows\System32\Tasks\Lenovo\ImController\Plugins
?
can't find directory C:\Windows\System32\Tasks\Lenovo\ImController\Plugins
Are you using some sort of modified version of Windows?
What about C:\Windows\System32\Tasks
?
C:\Windows\System32\Tasks\Lenovo\ImController
there is no plugins folder
Interesting, it seems like either your Windows is going crazy or your installation of Vantage got somehow corrupted. Either way I suggest that you reinstall Vantage and see if that helps, because it doesn't seem like it's an issue with LLT, but rather corrupted system files.
You could also make a folder in there called "Plugins" and see if that will be enough to fix the issue, but there is definitely sth wrong on your machine.
That's why I told you earlier that it worked fine up to a certain point.
I don’t understand what’s wrong, I deleted vontage installed it on a new one, everything is the same back
what can you advise, I'm using the official build of windows 11 beta chanel
Here are the things you can try:
Plugins
folder in C:\Windows\System32\Tasks\Lenovo\ImController
Plugin
under Lenovo\ImController
There isn't much more I can suggest, especially if you are running Windows from beta channel. For some reason Windows is not handling scheduled tasks correctly: it doesn't create them correctly on disk.
Good luck and as a side note, running beta Windows on your primary computer is not a good idea. Many people say that it works and it's fine, but there is a reason why it's a beta and not a stable release and you need to expect that there will be weird problems.
surprisingly, I did it, completely reinstalled lenovo vontage using Lenovo SystemInterfaceFoundation, then created the plugins folder, and rebooted the computer
So the problem is fixed? Great to hear!
and by the way, yes, some file was created in the plugins folder
Let's see what happens after reboot
yes everything works as it should, thanks for your time and work!
Great to hear!
Also, I can see you have Ukrainian keyboard set. Слава Україні!
hero's glory! Yes, these are very difficult times for my country and people (
