The conversion of Crushed Stone by the Cauldron Cleaning have a rate of 0.182% for Iron Dust and 0.058% for Gold Dust, seems that the rate must be 100 times more.

Nope that is intended. It's not meant to be your main way of producing metals. They're just bonuses to help out.
