Dashboard #23

Hi, It would be cool to have another column under Botflow executions with the "time used" per botflow execution. So after Botflow starting time and Botflow ending time, another column mentioned the time interval between the two. One more thing that would be awsome would then be a total in the buttom, like today there is a total botflow executions calculation in the buttom. Maybe even an average time spent on the selected botflows. Just a thought, the tool is great, and I don't mean to be demanding, I only want the tool to be even better. :o) Cheers Ghita

Hi @Ghitafjorback,

This is definitely a great idea, something we are already considering. Currently working on the other features to allow one to add multiple bots to a single trigger and then it will assign the work to the available bot.

Next milestone is to add a dashboard page that will offer information such as what you request. We are not fully settled on the approach and layout yet, but we are considering basing the dashboard on this template: https://blackrockdigital.github.io/startbootstrap-sb-admin-2/

Keep in mind that is just a preview of the template. Then we are thinking that this dashboard will be a subpage in the orchestrator based on the data in the executions log.

Hi @Ghitafjorback,

We would love you input to what data/graphs/charts you would like to see in a dashboard. We are working on prototyping it now.

Here's a screenshot illustrating the concept. Just totally ignore the numbers, icons, and content of the graphs and charts.

Any input is appreciated, also whether there should be a single dashboard view or multiple ones.

Hi Mathias

I will for sure give my inputs. What I have seen so far in the prototype I love it already! Will comment asap!

Hi Mathias

So... a few things that I have thought of.

As mentioned before, I already find the info mentioned on the prototype very relevant!

As I see it, it could be an advantage to have the dashboard kind of shared in two. One that will relate more to the management and contain a lot of the overviews showing time and money saved, and another that will relate more to the scripters/developers to have an overview of bot flows, free time on bots and so on.

I.e. sometimes I am lacking an overview that will show me the traffic of all botflows... if I have 2 licenses, I don’t want to script another script that will have to run during the morning if I can see that my bots are already both occupied in the morning hours, but they are doing nothing between 1 a.m and 4 a.m... so some kind of time-chart that can show when Foxtrot was running and when it was not... if there are two or more bots then show, one was occupied and one was not and so on. It could also be some kind of warning ⚠️ that you are close to reach complete occupancy during day or night time... maybe you will need another license or you need to move some botflows to different times during the day.

Another cool thing would be a deeper layer where it would be possible to click each botflow from the chart to see specs in regards to that one botflow, so kind of a dashboard related to a single botflow, being time used per run, times run per day, week, month etc, Monday’s average run time was 15 min for this botflow, monthly average and many more averages that could be shown.

I hope this can be used for the development of many more great features in the orchestrator!

Thanks

Mvh Ghita Fjorback

First version of a dashboard is now available in release v0.3.0. Suggested approvements can be posted as new issues.
