Missing Search Icons #78

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Kubuntu with firefox-kde-support and kmozzilahelper
2. Add search engines and organize them
3. Copy the active firefox profile folder to some where else.
4. Format HDD
5. Install Kubuntu with firefox-kde-support and kmozzilahelper
6. Copy the backed up profile folder and make sure it is activated.

What do you expect to happen? What do you see instead?
1. I expect to see the favicon of the search engines when I left click to open
the menu of available search engines.
2. Instead, none of the icons show up except for the icon of the selected
profile(when the menu is closed)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system and
Firefox version?
1. Firefox 18.01 on Kubuntu 12.10 x64

What other add-ons are you using?
To many to list.

Please provide any additional information below.
1. Doing a back up of the profile with FEBE and restoring in a clean linux
install does not cause the problem.
2. Using the same method above, I simply placed the profile folder in the
appropriate location for Firefox 18.X in Windows 8 Pro x64, and activated the
profile. Using the EXACT same data works fine under Windows. Making a FEBE back
up in Windows, and restoring in linux does not bring back the icons when
opening the search engine drop down menu.
