Ben,
I reviewed document about changes on OABR data feed and found one interesting thing. They have added new field "Syndication Remarks" which is intended to be a public remarks field for all third-party syndication data feeds such as ListHub (broker tool that uploads listings to Zillow, Trulia, etc.). But it is not a replacement for basic Public Remarks. Do we need to use this field? And if yes I think we need new database field to store this value.
Please let me know your thoughts Thanks Posted by Peskoe Ben(unfuddle username: bpeskoe)
Ben,
I can not connect to specified RETS server. Remote server returned an error 401 (Unathorized). Could you please confirm credentials?

George,
I believe the mappings are:
Please import list types 1, 4, 5, 8.
Also, in the data you sent, there are a lot of listings with status like Sold, Expired, Leased/Rented, Cancelled, Pending. For now, we only want Active status listings. Please ignore listings with all other statuses.
Also, there is some explanation of data in the attached document provided by the board.
Thanks.

George,
That's a good question. Eventually I do think we will need to include this new field as a separate field in the database. Can you review the metadata for this region and let me know the size of this field -- will it be a field of data type text or will it have a fixed length (such as 256 or 512 characters)?

George,
For MLSRegions table, please use the following values:
For other fields, please use same values as Sarasota, and we will go in and update those later. Regarding your other items:
1 - Yes, that's correct, please use MiddleSchool and Elementary School
2 - Yes, in cases where Garage Spaces is not null, please use that value for NumParkingSpaces. However, please check to see if there is also a "Parking Spaces" field in the RETS field and, if so, use this value in cases where Garage Spaces is not null.
3 - Yes, but please change the label to "Basement Percent Finished:"
4 - I believe these would only be for commercial or income properties? Yes, please do include these when a value is present.
5 - Good question. Please use same format as HomeToIndy.com for now.

Ben,
Could you please give me some instructions for MLSRegions database's entry for this region (i.e. RegionName, CommonName, Abbreviation etc)?
Also I have some questions:
All listing types contain data for MiddleSchool and ElementarySchool. But in RN_6 schema the same fields are specified as "Jr. High School" and "Grade School". Should I use MiddleSchool and ElementarySchool in this case too?
Should I fill NumParkingSpaces field with value from "Garage Spaces" RETS field?
Should I put "Basement % Finished: 100" into FeaturesBasement field? There a lot of listings contains this value (and some others - 20%, 40% etc).
Should I put "Effective Net Income" and "Scheduled Net Income" into FeaturesFinancial (it is rare case when we have such fields)
Which format of Rooms field is preferable for this region? For now I'm using format similar to the GSMAOR region (i.e. Name of room:room_size / room_level / room_comments )
Thanks
Thanks

Ben,
We have access to the 7 types of listings:
ResidentalProperty (RS_1) - type 1
LotsAndLand (LD_2) - type 4
CommonInterest (CS_3) - I think it is type 2
CommonInterest (CL_4) - I think it is type 10
MultiFamily (MF_5) - type 5
CommonInterest (RN_6) - I think it is type 13
CommonInterest (AU_7) - I think it is type 14
Could you please confirm my mapping and also specify do we need to import all types or not?
Attached are RETS meta data XML file and also sample files for each listing types.

Ben,
I've checked new RETS meta data and found
New field "Syndication Remarks" is available only for residential type of listings
Max length of this field is 4000.

George,
Okay, for now please proceed without it. We will revisit this at a later date. (I'd rather not add another long Varchar(4000) field to the MLS table, especially one that would only be used in rare cases like this, and not during the actual search -- we will think this through at a later date.)

George,
We have a new data feed to integrate for Omaha, NB. This should probably go into the sierrainteractive-3 database since it is geographically relatively close to Denver, CO.

I've attached the documentation which the board sent for use in setting up the data fields. For comparison purposes, you can also see the way the data is structured and labeled in some of our competitors' sites: http://www.housesinomaha.com/listing/21202997-17402-island-cir-bennington-ne-68007/ (scroll down to view data through the overlay).
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks.
