it has to do with some property of the installation, not of Bauble itself, because there have been positive reports about 1.0.52 and 1.0.53 on Windows. but see also #208
problem is associated with Python 2.7.9 please install Python 2.7.10 or newer, then repeat the installation of PyGTK. problem will disappear.
I just installed bauble on a Windows 7 computer. I had to use the lxml module which I assumed was only needed on Windows 8. the program starts but then selecting anything makes it crash. you enter a search term it gives the search count in the status bar pythonw.exe crashes.
