diagonal arrows malfunction #84

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I start colonization
2. I move the ship with the onscreen diagonal arrows
3. Instead of moving for example in the up-right direction it moves first up 
and the to the right, which in the game costs two movement points instead of 
one.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Ship should move diagonally but it moves just right-left-up-down.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.5 on notion ink adam running Beast ROM 2.2.1. which is based on Froyo.

Please provide any additional information below.

I have the same issue with colonization and also civilization running the 
latest adosbox on motorola atrix.  I think each diagonal is implemented as two 
keypresses when it should just be one.
