a normal kill (sending SIGTERM) to java worked and shutted Docear down correctly - as expected it did not really freeze afterall
collapsing all nodes before Cut&Paste worked much better - maybe we should automatically collapse all nodes first before performing the action (if lots of nodes, e.g. > 1000, are involved)?
I have imported our complete literature folder and tried to Cut&Paste all nodes to our Trash map. It did not work for the first 6 attempts (the nodes were not moved), after that Docear freezed with a very high CPU load - I will kill it now after I have waited for 5 minutes
We should ask the Freeplane team if there is anything we could do about it (after we have checked that it happens in Freeplane too)
It seems that I have not saved the Literature & Annotations map before trying Cut & Paste (maybe it makes a difference and may explain why it did nothing at first
