Unable to remove annotations from some PDFs #491

Apparently repeated from:

http://www.docear.org/support/forums/docear-support-forums-group3/bug-reports-forum6/sticky-annotations-and-label-clash-thread1087/

I have several PDFs (typically scanned versions of much older journal articles--e.g., from the 1960s) that, when imported, have associated annotations. Upon further investigation, these annotations are associated with bookmarks within the PDF. Even when I delete these annotations (from the mind map), they reappear as soon as the literature repository is refreshed. This occurs using either Adobe Reader or PDF X-Change Viewer.

UPDATE/PARTIAL RESOLUTION

There is a simple workaround* for this problem: in Docear Preferences > Environment, at the very top ("Annotations to import from PDFs), just uncheck "Bookmarks".

I'll add that it would be nice to have this option more clearly available from the mind map menu(s), but I suspect the limited functionality (i.e., the bookmarks cannot be editted by Docear) is a limitation of the PDF viewer, and not something that can be fixed by the Docear team.

*and one that should have been obvious to me.... Oops!
