One of the main problems I currently have with Docear4Word is that it's so complicated to see which references are already selected.
Probably the most user friendly solution was to have second panel/window in the "add reference" dialog. In this new panel all references were shown that the user selected. The original/old panel would only show references that are not already selected. In other words: Instead of the checkbox besides each entry there would be a little "+". When the user clicks it, the entry is moved to the second window. There, the user can unselect/delete it by clicking on a "-".
A "workaround" could be to show selected entries always on top of the list. Or, we could add a button that filters for selected references only.
