In this overexposed image enabling Ciecam along with sharpening (either RL Deconvolution
or Unsharp Mask) and Defringe causes huge artifacts in clipped highlights, both Sharpening
and Defringe have to be disabled to get rid of the artifacts if Ciecam is enabled,as
disabling alernatively only Sharpening or Defringe still leaves some major artifacts.
On the other hand, disabling Ciecam whilst levaing Sharpening and Defringe on (even
both at the same time) also kills the artifacts,so it must be some kind of interaction
between Ciecam and these tools.
The conversion using the LAB color space is not affected.

This is probably caused by issue 1607.

The converted JPG looks fine, did you upload the correct file or are you reporting
the the issue is only with the preview?

Wrong file... my bad,I will upload the right one ASAP-sorry about that.
I've had a look at issue 1607,just for accuracy tonemapping is not enabled in my processing
profile.

Tone mapping didn't cause it, it just pushed it out of gamut, which I'm guessing is
what happens here. Jacques would need to confirm.

I apologize for the confusion, here is the link to the actual converted jpg image :

and below is the pp3 for this image.Sorry,I did not realize I've uploaded the jpg straight
out of the camera before...
Reading the issue http://code.google.com/p/rawtherapee/issues/detail?id=1623 I would
think this indeed falls in that category, however thanks for looking ;)

I changed the process ... and the artifacts have apparently disappeared
Of course I kept "sharpening", "Noise reduction", "Defringe"
I changed the treatment "exposure", "Lab adjustements" and "CIECAM"
