I'd like to include 2134 too, simplify/purify white point settings. But I'm not sure
I'll be able to complete it myself, but if I get time to make contributions I'll probably
focus on that particular thing.

Anders, could review the new dcraw version? It seems that Dave adopted a lot of your
phase one code, but also changed it and removed your comments. I would like to know,
whether your phase one code or Dave's phase one code should go into the next patch
for 4.2

Ingo, I'll looked at the code and it's okay to apply dcraw and drop my patch.
I have communicated with Dave so he got my patch and applied and changed to his coding
style. It's a bit sad that format documentation becomes stripped away, but well, that's
the way dcraw works.
I have the docs left in my private stash anyway should I need to reverse engineer further
(there's a zillion calibration tags in the IIQ format, seems to be more work to do
for high ISO files).

Maybe an ignorant question, but is it okay to contribute new stuff now directly into
head? Eg for example do that white point settings cleanup, or should we have some stabilization
period of the 4.1, or create a branch for it?
I guess the most efficient use of developer resources is just go straight ahead to
4.2 and let 4.1.x get the features as they are introduced...

Committing directly to default for non-major tasks has worked well so far. You can branch
of course, but that will get less testing (builds provided in the forum are from default)
and require more effort to merge.

Issue 2398: xtrans support

Due to the DNG issues solved by the new dcraw as reported in the forum, I'm thinking
of renaming this issue to "4.3" and we push "4.2" out within 2 weeks, with the color
toning feature and hopefully with "initial Fujifilm X-Trans support" and the "do not
install licenses to bindir" issue fixed. What are your thoughts?

OK with 2 weeks,
but I think RT has to be updated with the latest Dcraw (it is now at r1.465 Date: 2014/06/28
23:32:30 $ while RT is at 1.463 ..).
May be we will have a major update of Dcraw (v9.22 ?) in the next days as it usually
follows the updates of DNG converter (8.5) which exists for a month ..
I have some updates for camconst.json with new models (Sony a7s, a77II RX100III etc)
almost ready .. in case Dcraw 9.22 is late we can cover support for most new models
by including them in camconst.json

Just a word to say that I had to reinstall my toolchain and I'm using MSYS2 this time
(thanks a lot for the link DrSlony!), and since it provide Gtkmm3 on windows (with
almost all dependencies available), I'm attempting a port of RT to Gtk3. I'll certainly
open a new branch for that, but some if the blocking issue may be solved with Gtk3,
I don't know (or easier to fix). Expected port time: 3 weeks.
That's also why I can't help you to solve the issue, sorry.

more than 3 weeks before a smooth user experience is available using Gtk3.
