Auto Vignetting Correction #2416

Feature request:

While I worked (and still do) on Xtrans support, it came to my mind, that it could
be a nice addition to make a 'Auto Vignetting Correction' for those cams, which have
a vignetting corrected thumb. Should be not so difficult. Will try that.

There is a problem to calculate auto-vignette_correction with many models which 

a) crop the raw file differently from Dcraw/RT (smaller "raw_crop" usually) and then
b) correcting strong distortion and so stretch and crop a lot more ..

A real nightmare will be Canon G1+x II .. :)

Ilias, of course, auto vignetting correction can only work after auto distortion correction
(in case the thumb is distortion corrected). I'll try with xtrans files, where distortion
correction already works good.
Perhaps the crop differences will be hidden by the blur which should be applied to
a vignetting correction mask. We'll see. But I changed priority to Nice2Have, because
it's just an idea and there are more important things to do :-)
