Using Oct/2023 also works so other than MM/yyyy, can probably specify that usage of Oct works too

I believe the user guide is meant to provide a comprehensive understanding for the users of your application so that they know how to use it. Omitting a date format accepted by your application for finding transactions is not providing the comprehensive steps to use your application. I don't think it is right to push it to "Not in Scope" or "not our priority".
