Seems like the token alignment is deactivated or bugged in Foundry. It used to be when you moved the token to right, the token would rotate right too, etc.
Can you check if the alignment got switched off for all tokens, not just the poratrait mode? If it did, can you switch it back on for everything except portrait tokens?
