Hello, I am attempting to flash the twrp recovery to a a galaxy note II using heimdall compiled from the most recent source. I am receiving the following output, and there is no bar on the android screen as expected when the recovery image should be downloading. When restarting in recovery mode, it restarts into normal android recovery mode.

heimdall flash --RECOVERY recovery.img --no-reboot Heimdall v1.4.1

Hi,

I have the same problem with the latest 1.4.1 and a Galaxy S5. Could not find a way to solve this.

vectorsigma commented 8 years ago

FWIW, Galaxy S5 SW-G900P here. 1.4.1 failed pretty hard on this box earlier, but the latest commits from master as of 20160604 seem to work perfectly. My guess is you can close this ticket now.

NinthDesertDude commented 7 years ago

Galaxy S4 Verizon (model SCH-I545) fails as well running via Windows 10 with Heimdall correctly installed. As of today.

japerlman commented 7 years ago

Running into this on verizon s5, would love to know how to fix it. Running latest built from source.

vectorsigma commented 6 years ago

@japerlman and @JoshuaLamusga : are your bootloaders locked on those phones by any chance? I got similar error with a Galaxy S3 from Verizon, only to find out it was because the bootloader was locked on that phone.

japerlman commented 6 years ago

@vectorsigma I am positive that was the issue, I wasn't aware that was a thing.
