Or maybe It's not the bump because It's supposed to be a continuous spectrum. Still, the signal is far hotter on Cass A than off. I would like to think that this is because of Cass A, but it could also be the signal from the galactic plane. Although, the survey was done pretty far off 1420.4 MHz, so I'm optimistic that we're seeing something.
Been looking for Cass A this morning. I calculated a new Tsys for 1415.00 MHz at the current temp for today and got 165.8 K. This was the Tsys used for these observations. Here are plots of spectra on and off Cass A:
I'm thinking that if we spotted it, the little bump towards the left is Cass A...?
