Do we still want to be running CentOS on it, or since we know how to get it to work with Ubuntu, do we want to switch over to that?
since we have a 2TB disk, we could dual-boot the system with the dominant OS being ubuntu, with CentOS being a backup in case of weirdness. what do others think @hcrowl @kgespada @vpascow ?

That should be pretty easy to do. I'm willing to work on this
I think I still have the CentOS and Ubuntu USBs lying around somewhere.. we can do this sometime this weekend?
I got the hard drive secured within the case and not sitting on top anymore, and closed it up, so once we do this dual boot thing, it should be ready to go!
well done gang

I dont know about @vpascow , but I didn't have enough time this weekend to dual boot. (I did read about it though, and from what I read, dual booting CentOS with Ubuntu is a real fun time since CentOS uses Grub Legacy and Ubuntu uses Grub2..)
So, the machine is still pretty and put together, but she's still a single-OS gal.
Unfortunately, I was also too busy to work on this. Although I did find some forum posts about dual booting the two:
https://www.centos.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=15774
Alternatively, could we run Ubuntu in as a virtual machine in CentOS?
we will use CentOS for now, and in a future time we will dual boot
OS installed, case on, ready to be put into place
