attach feed to dish #99

Closed acencini closed 10 years ago

acencini commented 10 years ago

figure out the piece of wood, etc

edaniszewski commented 10 years ago

This task also includes riveting on the arms that hold the feed to the dish.

Speaking of... does anyone know where those arms are?

edaniszewski commented 10 years ago

David says that he has the arms in his office, so when we need them, now we know where they are

sandycurth commented 10 years ago

It looks like it will be taking tomorrow and

sandycurth commented 10 years ago

There is a chance of lighting Saturday. Maybe we should wait until Monday or Tuesday next week to complete the dish.

edaniszewski commented 10 years ago

I don't think a chance of lightening is a deterrent for completing the dish, as long as its grounded. Today would be a good day to at least try and attach the arms so later, we can just put the feed on and be ready.

I have class all afternoon, so I don't think I can do it, but if anyone has time, attaching the arms (requires extension cord, rivets/riveting tool, power drill) and testing for RF #38 today would be good since the weather is good

theDarkLard commented 10 years ago

I'll be available from 3 to 4 to do this

I'm busy all afternoon. I'm also away this weekend so I could only really do Sunday evening or Monday

Berrescuda commented 10 years ago

Can anybody do Monday after dinner?

wbuchanan28 commented 10 years ago

yes, I can, and I think Sandy can too.

theDarkLard commented 10 years ago

I can do this as well but won't there be an issue with trying to get on the roof that late?

@vpascow @wbuchanan28 @acencini: How do you guys feel about seeing what we can do about this at 4:10, and if we can't get it squared away without the other half of the class we'll try to reconvene after dinner?

How does everyone feel about that?

wbuchanan28 commented 10 years ago

Sounds good to me

theDarkLard commented 10 years ago

This also sounds good to me!

The mount is still outside the metal shop. I can go get it with some help at around 3:30 if we think we will need it today.

wbuchanan28 commented 10 years ago

The mount is on the roof! But we're gonna need to assemble everything tomorrow in class

And we're F/D=0.45, right @hcrowl?
