Hi Gabriel.
I can't extract the files, it says "unsupported compression method". Do I need a
special program? Or can you re-submit the files?
The .txt files usually has to be translated too.
The StartPage.resx file is not used in Duplicati, so you can ignore that. I can
see
that my setup currently ignores the WizardForm subfolder, which explains why I
have
not seen the error before.

Sorry, I created it with 7zip and choosed zip file format, but it seems that
it's not
so standard. I'm putting a new file created with Winzip.

That helped :)
Attached are the compiled versions.
I can see that I need to make it easier for non-developers to produce these
files in
the future.
You need to have a sub folder to Duplicati named pt-BR where all the files are
placed.
You will also need the latest preview (1.0.1 r215) for it to work.
I have not tested the compiled version, because I need to put in a "select
language"
button in the settings to test other languages.

It's is necessary to change something else?
I've unistalled duplicati, installed the new version, unziped the file inside
duplicati folder, it created the pt-BR folder with the files inside.
Then I started duplicati. But nothing happens, it's still in english.

It should work right away.
I will look into it, but I'm not sure I will have time this week :(

When I have run the localization tool it generated the folder pt-BR with the
followings structure:
pt-BR\folder\file
pt-BR\folder\file.pt-BR
I have only translated the second ones and those that only have the .pt-BR
extension,
as you stated in the howto. Then I've packed everything, I mean, both the file
and
file.pt-BR. Is there anything wrong in this procedure? Should I have deleted the
files without the .pt-BR estension and packed only those files with .pt-BR?

As far as I could tell from the files, you did everything right.
The compiled files looks fine, but for some reason they
won't work. I don't think there is more you can do right now.

I found the error. I compiled the dll's on another machine, and the version was
set
incorrectly. The attached files work for me.

I've installed the last version of Duplicati and extracted the files on the
duplicati
folder so it looks like this now:
c:\Arquivos de Programas\Duplicati\pt-BR (all files of the pt-BR.zip inside
this folder)
Then in the settings panel I've choosed Português (Brasil) in the language
option.
Closed duplicati from the system tray cleanned all file from the user profile
so it
looks like a new installation, but nothing happens, duplicati continues in
english.
Just to tell you, when I've choosed English, duplicati stopped to work, right
after I
change to english, close from system tray and tray to open again it shows me the
following error:
Failed to set the user interface language: The culture 'en' is neutral. It
cannot be
used in formatting and analisys ...
Then to duplicati start to work again I needed to delete the configuration
files in
the Application Data folder.
Is there anything else I can do? Maybe change some other configuration?

Are you using the r215 version? The dll's only work with that version. For some
reason, the dll's are bound to the version number, unfortunately even the
revision
has to match.
I think I can produce a modified version of the Signer.exe program that can
re-bind
existing assemblies to a new version number at some point. I don't know when I
will
be able to make it.
I can see that the "en" message you see should be in r229, not in r215. I will
fix
this problem. Let me know if you need a new build.

Kenneth,
Today I've downloaded the r215 and the pt-BR.zip file that you compiled, the
last one. Didn't worked
for me, I've tried on two different machines. I don't if it could be the path
to the pt-BR files
because I'm running two different systems, one of them in Portuguese and the
other one in Spanish so
the program files folder has the following names:
C:\Arquivos de Programas
C:\Archivos de programa
I dont know what can be, but the second system, in Spanish, I've never
installed any other version of
duplicati so cant be nothing related to some conflict between versions. I don't
now what to do. Shed
some light here, please.

There should be no issues with with the "Program Files" folder, I run a danish
Windows where it is called "Programmer" with no problems.
I have updated the translation page:
http://code.google.com/p/duplicati/wiki/HowToTranslate
It now has complete instructions on how to build the Dll's without having to
install
or use Visual Studio.
You should have all the listed "Prerequisites", but you need to update your
source
code copy to at least r239. I tested the procedure on a clean machine, and it
worked.
Let me know how it works for you.

It worked perfectly. To test I've updated the svn structure and then only
translated
a few lines of the main wizard just to see if it works, and it worked!!
Just a question, how can I use the files that I translated before, just copy the
files over the new ones?
In any case, I can copy and past the strings that I've translated.
Thanks!!!

Horray :)
You can just copy the files on top of the existing ones, and they should work
correctly.
Happy translating!

It worked like a charm!!
I'm attaching the final version of the pt-BR translation, revised by a friend
of mine.
Just one other thing, the buttons at the wizard (Back, Finish, Cancel) stays in
english, I didnt find anything else to translate and put them in portuguese.

Awesome!
Yes, the buttons are in a separate project, but they should be translate-able as
well. I will fix it.
Unfortunately I have an urgent non-Duplicati task, so I won't be able to look
at it
for 2 weeks or so :(

I had a few spare minutes, so I fixed it.
Right click the folder where you checked out Duplicati, and select "TortoiseSVN
Update".
If it complains, it is because I have added the pt-BR folder to the project,
and it
refuses to overwrite yours, so just rename it, then copy the contents into the
newly
created one.
After that, run: "LocalizationTool.exe update pt-BR" and it will create the
WizardForm folder for you, so you can translate it.
If you want to, I can give you access to commit the changes directly to the SVN
repository, so you don't have to post them here all the time.

Ok Kenneth, I've already updated and translated the new files.
I'm using RapidSVN not TortoiseSVN, but I think it's the same, right?
If you want to give me access, that's ok, I'll be glad to update directly to the
repository.
In any case, I'm attaching only the changes so if you have any time you can
update.

I have comitted the translation.
You should now have commit access. You need to re-checkout the code, using the
https
prefix, and you google code password, not the login password, see here when
logged in:

I believe Duplicati 1.2 is now stable enough to be released.
I am hoping that you would like to update the translation for Duplicati.
I have revised the translation procedure a bit since then,
so you can now edit the strings in a spreadsheet.
I have taken the liberty of adding you as an editor on the spreadsheet, and you
should have received an email with a link, otherwise the document is here:

If you prefer not to be listed as an editor of the document let me know. I
would also prefer it if you let me know if you do not want to maintain the
translation.
Thanks in advance.

There is now an updated translation document, please translate the missing
entries when you have the time.
You can filter by "missing" and "not-updated" to see all non-translated entries.
There should be no more changes until 1.3 is out. The plan is to let the
current version become beta2 and later release it, if it does not have critical
problems.

Hi Kenneth,
It's been a while since we talked last time!
I'll be glad to update the translation to portuguese, just give me a week or
two.
I saw that you updated/changed the procedure for the translation, if I have any
problem I tell you.

Yes, it has been a while, I thought you had moved on :)
