Describe the bug

The jar failed to generate the intended greeting message

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Run the .jar file

Based on the User Guide, the following greeting message is expected to be generated

Team's Response

Firstly, the severity is misjudged. Since this is purely a cosmetic bug, we have taken the liberty to change it to VeryLow.

Secondly, our team worked for an hour to try to replicate this bug. Unfortunately, we were unable to get the same output as shown in the screenshot. We even tried installing multiple different versions of java, but none seemed to do the trick.

Just before we were about to submit our response as CannotReproduce, we came up with one more idea to try. True enough, this new idea worked.

On a Windows 11 machine, we changed the locale to Japan. Upon running the application, we could now see this output:

This is close enough to the output as shown by the tester.

With this new information, we were able to come to an unanimous decision to mark this issue as rejected. Since there was no locale requirement for the tp, and the application works as intended on OSes which has locales set to Singapore with machines running Java 11, we see no problem with this issue raised by this tester.
