Hyperlink redirect to the website rather that a specific part of the UG PDF #12

Open BernardLesley opened 1 year ago

BernardLesley commented 1 year ago

The hyperlink used throughout the file redirects the user to a website, instead of the current file. 2 issues may arise from this:

  1. This would cause inconvenience when a user does not have an internet connection. The user might also become annoyed when they need to open a plethora of unnecessary browser tabs just to access a specific UG part.
  2. This is inconsistent with the DG, as the links in DG redirect to the specific part of the PDF file, rather than a website

Link Redirect to the website UG instead of UG pdf

Note from the teaching team: This bug was reported during the Part II (Evaluating Documents) stage of the PE. You may reject this bug if it is not related to the quality of documentation.

All the link in your UG seems to redirect to the UG website, instead to the part title inside the UG image.png

Their Response to the 'Original' Bug

[This is the team's response to the above 'original' bug]

Not sure why this happened, but the hyperlinks work fine on our local version of the UG/DG.

 Issue duplicate status

Team chose to mark this issue as a duplicate of another issue (as explained in the Team's response above)

Reason for disagreement: [replace this with your explanation]

## Issue response Team chose [`response.Rejected`] - [x] I disagree **Reason for disagreement:** Even if the pdf file is working on the developer side, the one who will eventually use the UG is the user. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the developer to ensure that the links are working properly.
## Issue severity Team chose [`severity.High`] Originally [`severity.Medium`] - [ ] I disagree **Reason for disagreement:** [replace this with your explanation]
