json editor - preview parents do not stay expanded after moving or making an edit #2

when moving JSON using the interface, its annoying that the preview closes after every edit. I need to figgure out how to make sure the preview still updates but also stays expanded.

fixed with commit and also fixed new bug where interface stopped updating. added debugging functions and commented out for future use to make debugging easier.
