Sort order in directory listing #100

Hallo! The sort order in the directory list is at least ... weird. I use photo folders following the scheme "200404", "20071203", "200908012_Annes_birthday", and of course I expect these to be sorted like "ls -v" oder gqview does it. But geeqie mixes them up in a irritating way. At least the "normal" behaviour should be configurable.

It is a good thing that geeqie carries on the development of gqview!

Hi,

i tried to create 3 directories like you describe

mkdir test.d; cd test.d mkdir "200404"; mkdir "20071203"; mkdir "200908012_Annes_birthday"; sleep 5; touch "20071203"; ls -vl total 12 drwxr-xr-x 2 zas zas 4096 2009-12-18 20:16 200404 drwxr-xr-x 2 zas zas 4096 2009-12-18 20:20 20071203 drwxr-xr-x 2 zas zas 4096 2009-12-18 20:17 200908012_Annes_birthday

But directory listing with lastest geeqie from svn trunk shows them as it is, see attached screenshot.

Please show us, the result of ls -lv in your directory and a screenshot of what geeqie shows.

sorry, I mixed up something. The directory listing should of course be sorted like "ls" (without "-v") sorts it, or like gqview does. The directory names with the date in it should be sorted in ascending order:

it should be fixed in revision 1881.
