Tweed Scrolls Cataloguing Project #2138

Closed Ralph-Lee-UK closed 2 years ago

We have been asked to catalogue a set of scrolls from the Tweed collection. As you may know, it is a while since I have worked on BM material, so I wanted to check in with you on how to go about this.

We have images, and we have been asked to include transcriptions of the works (many will not be identifiable as works since they are unique prayers).

I have two new workers whom I will train and I will be responsible for checking their work, and will make all the push requests myself.

Are you able to register them on the system as editors - Calum Samuelson, and Jonathan Egid?

eu-genia commented 2 years ago

Sure, I will.

eu-genia commented 2 years ago

I have added Calum and Jonathan to the schema and to the app users; as soon as they have registered on github I will also add them to the github Bm organization

I have invited Calum and Jonathan to the github organization

As for the images - as I already notified Steve, I have taken over also in this respect. We can host the images.

@eu-genia many thanks for all this. That is probably all for now. One question which I hope is quick: I am using the Oxygen XML editor, and having returned to it all the Ethiopic text is not showing properly. I am sure that I fixed this before, but now cannot recall what to do. Can you help?

You probably need to set up a compatible font. Go in Oxygen to Options -> Preferences ->Appearance ->Fonts ->Editor
