Miracle vs passage from the Gadl - separate CAe ID? #2303

BMLacq681 has, as miracle 15, the story of Ewostatewos and Warasina Egzi, which, according to Marrassini, is the same as translated by Conti Rossini from BAVet46 ff. 54-55 https://betamasaheft.eu/manuscripts/BAVet46/main, image yet, in BAVet46 it is however not a miracle but a passage from the Vita itself. (In that MS the vita goes from 2 to 119, and only then 6 miracles follow. image

Is this passage also present in other texts of the Vita? Is it a miracle that was inserted in the Vita, or a passage of the Vita that is also used as a miracle?

Should a CAe record be created?

I think that one could give an ID, provided that the correspondence is clearly explained. The facts are all but clear. In any case, one can refer to Gianfrancesco Lusini, Studi sul monachesimo eustaziano (secoli XIV–XV), Studi Africanistici, Serie Etiopica, 3 (Napoli: Istituto Orientale di Napoli, Dipartimento di Studi e Ricerche su Africa e Paesi Arabi, 1993), 41 and 43 (talking about the recension β of the /Miracles/), who describes accurately the phenomenon, with reference to Conti Rossini and Marrassini. It is important that Marrassini clearly states that the text is substantially longer than the section in the /Gadl/ and this points to some reworking at least, which makes this a miracle of its own. Repetitions in miracles of episodes of the /Gadl/ is frequent, though, but if they appear under the section /Miracles/, they are miracles.

I think it can get an ID, the passage seems to be a part of the Acts that was taken out and shaped as separate story.
