Would it be helpful for you to check Guesh's presentation which among other things is dedicated to exactly how we refer to AT themes and features quite a few examples?
If you search for "art theme" in the Guidelines you are immediately brought to the page dedicated to encoding decorations https://betamasaheft.eu/Guidelines/?q=art%20theme&id=decorationDescription which is also quite good for examples.
We have Art themes for most of these miniatures - you can see the list here https://betamasaheft.eu/art-themes/list - you can easily find Annunciation, Nativity, Ascension, Evangelists etc etc etc
@eu-genia @CarstenHoffmannMarburg For the description of the massacre of Heroid, you can use my description on MS CIA20024 (illustrated manuscript from Chicago Art Institute). You can see my XML description provided below if it is similar to my description.
<decoNote type="miniature" xml:id="d7">
<locus target="#38r"/>
<desc>A miniature of the art theme<ref type="authFile"
corresp="AT1020Massacre"/> with one episode showing the
infanticide ordered by <persName ref="PRS5299Herod"/>, sitting
on a throne and his soldiers slaughtering the children. </desc>
</decoNote>
I have seen in the guidelines, I can encode it like this:
<ref type="authFile" corresp="AT1020Massacre"/>
I will try to figure out as many Art themes as possible and then include Guesh in a pull request.

I found a number of finely executed miniatures in Tanasee1. I described each one according to the description in Hammerschmidts catalogue including the references. I wonder, that for most cases I did not find a suitable AT ID, unless the themes should be rather common from the New Testament.
The one, I found so far is AT1020Massacre in d16, but I cannot figure out, how to include this ID into the decoDesc. As far as I see, there is no information in the Guidelines about, how to refer to an AT in a decoDesc.
My work in progress on the decorations looks like this:
