1 month ago This is not a poem; this is a part of some sewasew-treatises, that is, list of ready verses or models of the verses to be used for composing qenes (aligned according to the last radical). (Maybe it is the same or similar to that in IVEf70). Strelcyn somehow counted it as a separate unit.

1 month ago Indeed, it is attested in BLorient9798 in combination with Səwāsəw or Səwāsəw-related components (qəne and Tərgwāme fidal). Do you think, it is reasonable to nest it into the general Səwāsəw-record (LIT2293Sawase)? I would give a new LIT to ms_i2, nevertheless.

</msItem>I would make it as a part of "sewasew" in this specific manuscript (I would leave the work record as it is, for the time being; the composition of Sewasew-trieteses is very unstable).

1 month ago In fact, if you want to assign LIT id to it, you can do it as well (even if you then nest it us part of a Sewasew treatise) , but you need to find a few other mss which more or less the same text (which is a bit difficult because we do not have the text of BLorient9798 at hand, do we?). Another point: it can be rightly assigned a work ID only if it has been shown to have an independent circulation, otherwise it is a text part (this is the research idea in the background of Bm).

I have found this text in BLorient9798 and in IVEf70. I think, this is an independant circulation, even though it is im combination with Səwāsəw and qəne texts in both cases.

The following item (Mazgaba dǝrsān with 90 qǝne songs) I will leave outside, because I think, qǝne should not be counted as LIT2293Sawase. Do you agree?

1 month ago In IVEf70 it is clearly not, as other parts of the treatise follow, at least what we see from Turaev's description. In Strelcyn's description, it is undecided, but because he did not have a sufficient overview of Sewasew mss. Yes, Mazgaba Dersan can be set apart and an ID can be created for this. In the meantione, I will check if we have a record to ፈኖተ፡ ቅኔ another treatise to the same topic (to dissimilate them).

If I understand you correctly, you want me to encode it in the manuscript record as msItem subordinate to LIT2293Sawase, but you do not want a new LIT ID or sub ID for it.

@karljonaskarlsson @DenisNosnitsin1970 I found a work in BLorient9798, that Strelcyn described as a poem. However, I found the same text in IVEf70 (ms_i1.10) but described as "Sentences with verbs in alphabetical order of the last letter", what would fit to the other texts in the two manuscripts, that both contain Sawāsǝw. However, I think, we can nevertheless describe it as a poem. I will create a LIT ID, if you do not mind.
