i would like to write more about Linked Data and taking advantage of modeling captured in ontologies like http://www.lexicater.co.uk/vocabularies/innovation/ns.html#

+2 for JSON-LD. Would love to see what you come up with for a context.

My favorite part of JSON-LD, if I'm not mistaken (@msporny, correct me if I'm wrong) is that you can get the benefits of linked data by just requiring document authors to add a @context property at the root level in the normal case where authors are just using fields which are predefined for the vocabulary (eg civic.json)
