Redstone torches get extinguished instantly.

Blocks that had a redstone torch get extinguished on them instantly extinguish any new redstone torches placed on the same face of the block.

Replication steps; 1-Place a block with a redstone torch on it. 2-Power the block fast enough for the redstone torch to get extinguished. 3-Remove the redstone torch and place a new one on the same face of the block. 4-Power the block once. 5-Observe as the redstone torch gets instantly extinguished

Bumping this. It's still a problem in the newest version, and a pretty annoying at that. Additional info:

• the bug occurs even if the torches oscillating very slowly (2-3s between the on and off states)
• the game remembers which block had the bugged torch present, even in another orientations (another face, vertically placed etc.)
• reloading the world doesn't change the behavior, they still fizzle out as described above
• exiting the game/closing the server and opening the world once again fixes this issue (until it fizzles out again)

u/ContleDon on a reddit thread about this bug suggested it could be a problem with cache being filled up.

I'd love to see this bug fixed since redstone torches serve as a pillar of redstone builds in Beta.

Should be fixed in the latest nightly (2024-08-17) with the removal of redstone torch burnout.
