The version displayed is the current version, not the latest one.
Oh, my mistake!
...Although, strangely, the popup did say "102.11.0-bb35" and I definitely had 102.10.0 installed as of yesterday. I just checked. I had never downloaded 102.11.0.
The About box always shows the currently installed version. In the second line it shows "up to date" or "needs update". You can also check the version via "Help > More Troubleshooting Information". Finally, the error console reports all the update checks performed.
I launch Betterbird daily. When I launched it today, I got the popup to update to version 102.11.0-bb35. When I clicked the link to latest versions, though, the latest stable version to install appears to be 102.12.0-bb37, which is timestamped "6 June 2023," aka over 2 weeks ago.
So, it would appear that there are 2 minor bugs with the update popup:
Windows 11 Home 64-bit, running Betterbird v.102.10.0-bb35 (64-bit) [prior to downloading the update today, obviously]
