Profile-based filter rules have many advantages over account-based filter rules, and would be a new prospective approach to solve some other filter issues open in TB.

Why Betterbird should fix it: Thunderbird follows an old paradigm of account based filters during the past 21 years. Little change they will pick up the idea within the next decades. I know that this is somewhat bigger than a tiny bug fix, but perhaps you want to make BetterFilters.
