Two-Way Sync with CardDav not working

I used my carddav account with mailbox.org to sync my contacts. Contacts are not pulled from mailbox.org (approximately 10k) but new contacts created in Thunder/Betterbird are synced to mailbox.org.

Two-way sync should work both ways.
