Start at startup minimized #252

Hello, I started to use Betterbird (before I was using Thunderbird with Birdtray app), I found some new features in Betterbird like built in system tray, so I tried it, I found option in settings, that when I minimize Betterbird I will hide into system tray, but main question is how to do that Betterbird will launch at startup minimized (so already in system tray).

Second question, is possible to add context menu into system tray? Like hide / quit, for example Im used to Birdtray applet, that when I accidentally close Thunderbird it will relaunch it, so I have to close it through context menu in system tray.

I use Arch Linux btw.

First question: Read https://www.betterbird.eu/expert-tips/, is details how to drive the system tray. "Start minimised" is pref mail.startupMinimized (and also mail.minimizeToTray).

We don't plan a context menu on the system tray, the entire system tray is a nightmare to support if you take the varios distros, desktops, Wayland (yes/no) and FlatPak (yes/no) into account.

Maybe https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-GB/thunderbird/addon/minimize-on-close/ helps against "accidentally" closing BB.
