What OS/hardware are you running homebridge on?
It's a Pi 3, running the raspbian image.
Is it possible you have some sort of firewall or port mapping that could be preventing your HomeKit hub from reaching each of those ports on your Pi?
Do you mean the device ports, e.g., "Echo Dot EBEB is running on port 33367"? I don't have any kind of firewall that would prevent this.
Yes. Are you able to reach those ports on your homebridge device from any other devices on your network?
Yes, I can. I did a port scan on my network to the Pi and these ports are open. I can also successfully netcat/ping on those ports.
What device are you using as your Home hub (Apple TV, HomePod, iPad, etc.)?
Apple TV
I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if the root cause here is related to your problems with #39. I’m going to close this issue. Once you have pairing working, if this issue persists, please re-open.
@rcoletti116 has reported that this issue still exists with #39 resolved.
I Am also having this issue.

None of the devices show up in home after I go to add them. They show up in Homebridge accessories.
Update: I used my newer iPad Air 2 to add these devices and they showed up! My iPad Air 2 is running iOS 14.3 My iPad Air couldn't find the devices. iOS 12.5
Oh, yeah, I believe you need at least iOS 13 for HomeKit smart speakers.
@rcoletti116, which version of iOS is your device running that you're using to try and add the smart speakers?
iPhone running 14.3
I believe some people were having general issues with Homebridge 1.2.x. Would you consider downgrading to the 1.1.x branch to see if that works?
confirming downgrade to 1.1.x did not resolve.
I have the same Issue. I checked the Ports...they’re open. Bit HomeKit won’t discover the Echo devices. There are no errors in the logs.
You have to add them manually from the add accessories button and then "I don't have a code or cannot scan" in home app and then scan or type in your homebridge QR code after hitting that button.
I tried it several times but they won’t show up! I tried it from different devices.
Description
Homebridge shows the devices have been discovered and are available, but HomeKit does not discover them.
Reproduction Steps
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Restart Homebridge and verify plugin loads
Authenticate plugin - logs as follows:
Open Home App and attempt manual discovery - no devices found.
Expected Behavior
HomeKit should discover the two echo devices.
