Properties Editor - Camera Sensor settings clarification to define aspect ratio fitting explicitely #536

The manual defines the term "Auto" as "Fit to the sensor width or height depending on image resolution" But fitting is based on the aspect ratio, not the image resolution. (The aspect ratio is the width:height ratio, while the resolution is in terms of pixels. For a given aspect ratio, different sensors have different counts of pixels, because the pixel density and size are independent of its aspect ratio)

(The choice is between cropping some part of the image or letting some part of the sensor be unused; which is equivalent to having black strips on the padded parts of the frame where there image is not received.)

Camera Sensor auto fitting settings clarification to define things explicitely

Clarified and re-wrote how this works. It is very relative and the sensor is not absolute to the resolution and aspect ratio. To get black bars you will need to extend your image format in the compositor or crop.

Realized that this may be more of a feature request - which can be done in the compositor.
