GUI just stops if jpg files are off by 1 year, e.g., 27 Feb 2009 and gpx is from 27 Feb 2010 #100

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. set you jpg files one year older than the gpx file
2. use GUI
3. Works if I am using the python script on the command line

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It should report that it has not found any trackpoint within the error
range (in my case I used 300sec). Instead it just seems to hang (but clear
and quit works).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.28 GUI version Windows and Ubuntu 9.10
works as expected with the Ubuntu command line version.
