Households with no members are only deleted when the Contact is deleted or has Household blanked out. If a Household loses it's last member on Contact Update, it is not deleted #114

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create contact
2. Edit contact, changing Household lookup to another household
3. Verify that first Household is still there

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

That first Household should be deleted

Household with no members is deleted in two cases:
* last contact is deleted
* last contact has Household field blanked out

I'm just wondering though, what if the household has other data associated with
it,
like address info, attachments, notes, etc? Would the household still be
deleted in
that case?

As a short-term solution, how about a scheduled apex job that checks for
orphaned households and deletes them?

We think we've identified the issue, slated for an upcoming release.
