@mandrewj @egbot I wanted to show you something that @jhpoelen and I are working on. It is an example of a link from Symbiota on Big Bee Library to a published resource that contains the model, background image, and scale bar image used to create a 3D model. https://library.big-bee.net/portal/collections/individual/index.php?occid=68854

This provides a method for downloading all images related to a specimen (and the 3D model) en masse and a persistent way to reference the images and the model using hash as a persistent identifier for derived digital products.

Process of creating a published archive on Zenodo A Darwin Core archive is published from Symbiota Bee Library. This template repository is cloned and renamed with the catalog number of a new specimen. preston (https://github.com/bio-guoda/preston) software reviews the Darwin Core, creating the content for the GitHub repository. It is all then published to Zenodo.

Process of linking Zenodo archive to Big Bee Library Links are created using the Symbiota Related Occurrences tab. They include a relationship as "derivedFromSameIndividual," an identifier, and a link. Examples of the formatted link information are below.

derivedFromSameIndividual: Image publication: 10.5281/zenodo.7114665 hash://sha256/96bfde1efa599e0e8e61de18b14d61dd308737f684950e4079c04e9bc0f33958 https://zenodo.org/record/7114665/files/96bfde1efa599e0e8e61de18b14d61dd308737f684950e4079c04e9bc0f33958

derivedFromSameIndividual: hash://md5/4940f68c84cffa4412f7ffb98bb255bd https://linker.bio/hash://md5/4940f68c84cffa4412f7ffb98bb255bd

We still need metadata file to archive indicating the settings and software used to create the model. We still need a recipe file for what files are shared to build the publication.
