Numeric key(0,1,2,3...) doesn't work on my OSX 10.6.8 French.

Azerty keyboard works without problem for letters

Maybe a keyboard map problem ?

(Trying on Windows with virtualbox it works)
(ORICUTRON V0.9)

I know it's an old bug but it happened to me so I think it's useful to post a
solution here.
Please install a US or UK keymap and switch to it BEFORE starting Oricutron.

The problem happens as well under Linux.

I am working on a keyboard mapping feature that will give another solution to
this problem

I have added this in the README file:

International Keyboards under Linux and Mac OS X
================================================

There are lots of problems with some international keyboards under Linux and
Mac OS X.
The best way to cope with them is to install an UK or US keyboard definition
and to
switch to it *before* starting oricutron.

Under Mac OS X you can do that in the "System Preferences", "Keyboard", "Input
sources".
Click on the + and search for the UK or US keyboard.

Under Ubuntu you can do that in the System menu, select Preferences, and then
select
Keyboard. In the Keyboard Preferences dialog, select the Layouts tab, and click
Add.

Hi, thanks for posting this info !! I'm a long-time user of
Oriculator/Oricutron on Windows and never had a problem with it, but installing
it on a Mac really proved difficult... I had a bit of a trouble installing SDL
(maybe you should document it as well... I understand you can install SDL thru
MacPorts, but I didn't succeed this way so I had download a .dmg disk image for
SDL 1.2.15 and install it manually (once the .dmg is mounted I just typed "sudo
cp -pR /Volumes/SDL/SDL.framework /System/Library/Frameworks" in Terminal and
that was it).

Anyway, back to the keyboard issue which I next stumbled into: a million thanks
for this workaround when using international keyboards (I use a French
keyboard) but I really wish there was a simpler way and hope you'll be able to
solve this in the future... Because it's a bit of a paradox that installing
Oricutron on a Mac should be that difficult whereas it is such a trivial
endeavour to install it on Windows !!!).

In any case, a million thanks again for giving us the Best Oric Emulator ever,
please keep up the good work, we owe you a lot !!

Best regards
Laurent

PS - until the keyboard map issue is fixed, I think I'll keep to the Windows
version and install it on my XP VirtualBox image on MacOSX Mavericks because
having to change the keyboard before launching Oricutron really is a hassle,
especially when having to multitask with other apps.. ;-)

On OSX you can remap the keyboard (in the 1.0 Oricutron version) --> F1 -->
Remap keyboard and save the new configuration.

Sur OSX (avec la version Oricutron 1.0) ile est possible de remapper le clavier
en passant par F1 puis --> Remap keyboard, reconfigurer le clavier ,
enregistrer la configuration.
