Update to 2.0.0.8 not working Mac mini M1 #2160

Mac mini M1. Doesn't update from 2.0.0.0 to 2.0.0.8. Keeps trying every day. Downloads and seed the update. Get a box with a big blue update button. Sometimes I get a message that an important update has occurred and need to restart program. After that it still required an update. I tried a fresh install, Same problem. Sometimes it goes thought he install process, restarts and I am still on version 2.0.0.0. Please help or how can I stop checking for updates?

Can you create a debug.zip (Help menu, last option), rename that to (say) debug.txt (to avoid mailing issues with .zip files) and email it to paul@biglybt.com please? Thanks!

Same thing is happening to me, on a Mac OS v10.14.6

I have BigllyBT 2.8.0.0 and choosing to update I see this in the window (is it downloading the wrong version?):

I tried updating while using Generate Debug Info but then it hung at the above.

That's why I need the debug.zip - it isn 't supposed to be updating but obviously the detection logic for M1 installs is borked...

Well I tried to create the debug log, but it caused the app to hang. And the only recovery for me was to force quit the app. Doing this in the past while files are downloading has caused endless grief, corrupting things to the point I had to delete the torrent and start over. I can try again once all the current files have completed.

Also, I think it is supposed to be updating. I have 2.8.0.0 and it's trying to update to 2.8.0.8 but that's what's failing. It seems to be trying do replace 2.8.0.0 with the same version, not the updated version.

I found this in CoreUpdater_1.log Note: it's supposed to be updating from 2.8.0.0 to 2.8.0.8

yup, I fixed that 28 minutes ago...

Checking just now, I'm still running 2.8.0.0 and it's reporting I'm up to date (as if there is no 2.8.0.8 for me)

There is no 2.8.0.8 - that was a typo in the update config. Latest is 2.8.0.0
