Hi: I installed BigSur without issues, but when updating to Ventura, after 2 reboots, it remains in the Apple logo and the progress bar doesn't move. Z840 2x E5 2630V3 32 GB RAM 512 SSD Bios 2.59
Update: I reinstalled BigSur and from there went into Monterey. All look goods, but the Nvidia board doesn't work well. Found a video showing how to fix it using Open Core Legacy Patcher here>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XcQwwRk0x8&ab_channel=BuffNerfTechnical
Now the graphics board is working as expected.
Hi, if possible, please replace the NV GPU with AMD GPU. Due to the Metal graphic framework has lack of compatibility with unsupported GPUs, patch macOS can help the NV GPU work with OS but only fewer accelerators can be active in the system.
The used RX570/4G should be less than $50~
Yup, but so far it's still on the test stage. So far so good, the metal injection framework works flawlessly, and I have an RTX-580 in my Amazon's cart just in case. I have a Quadro K5200 GPU for now. Thanks and cheers!
